1. Double-Click on the
icon on the Windows 95 desktop. Some systems with the
"Plus!" pack might rename this icon. It will
commonly be the one in the upper left-hand corner.
2. Double-Click on the
icon.
3. Double-Click on Make New Connection and you will see
this:

4. Type in the name for your connection. This will
be any name that helps you identify it. Perhaps "Omni
Internet" or similar. Click Next and this screen
will appear:

5. Type in the phone number
895-6650 in the appropriate box. Then click Next.
6. Click Finish.
7. The new icon will appear in the
Dial-Up Networking window. Click on it once to highlight
it. Click on File then click Properties.

8. This should bring up a screen with information about the
connection that you just created. Click Server Type.
This will either be a tab at the top, or a button in the lower
right.

9. Uncheck Logon to Network. Uncheck IPX/SPX.
Uncheck NetBEUI.
10. Click TCP/IP Settings in the lower right.
11. Make sure that Server assigned
IP address and Server assigned name server addresses
are selected.

12. Click OK and OK and OK, all the way out.
The icon is now configured and ready to use.
13. To create a shortcut for this connection on your Windows
desktop, click File, then Create Shortcut.
14. You should see an "error" message asking if you
want the shortcut on your desktop. Click Yes.
15. You should now have the shortcut on the desktop. Close
the Dial Up Networking and My Computer windows and
locate it. Double-Click to connect.
