     TRAINING CLASSES -- GENERAL INFORMATION

COST:  Classes are $7.50 for OMNI customers and $10.00 for others.

WHEN AND WHERE:  OMNI holds internet-related classes on selected weekday evenings and occasional Saturday afternoons in its building located at  231 Junction Highway ("Five Points") in Kerrville.  Each 1½-hour class  is complete on its own, though some build on previous classes -- see individual class descriptions.

TIME:  Currently, all weekday classes are from  6:30 to 8:00 pm. Saturday classes run from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.  Students should arrive fifteen minutes early to park, sign-in and choose seating. Additional parking is available behind the building, and in parking lots of other nearby businesses when they are closed.

WHAT TO BRING:  Please bring a firm writing tablet and pen for notes. There will be a  handout for you to take home in each class.

CLASS FORMAT:  Classes are group presentation lessons -- primarily aimed at introducing users to the class concepts that you can then practice at home.  The instructor uses computer "slide show" presentations, actual demonstrations projected from a terminal onto a screen, and answers questions throughout the class.  

CLASS SIZE: Minimum registrations per class is 10.  Maximum is to 20 people and is on a first-registered, first-served basis . .Register as soon as possible and mark the dates on your calendar. 

Your registration will be confirmed or you will be notified if a class is full so you may reschedule.  

CLASS PREREQUISITES:  Each of the intermediate classes builds on the skills covered in a corresponding basis class.  While the basic class is not required, please review the basic class topics to make sure you already have those skills before signing up for an intermediate class.

IF WE MUST CANCEL:  Classes with too few people scheduled may be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.  You will be notified by email after 3 pm on the day of the class if it has to be cancelled.
