OMNI has replaced its previous spam filtering system with the award winning new Red Condor filtering service. It is a very effective and highly rated spam detection and prevention technology which requires minimum interaction from users.
Users can configure many aspects of their own Red Condor email filtering by logging in to their Personal Dashboard. However, OMNI's users are initially set up with everything ready to go, so there's really no need to adjust anything except perhaps a few personal preferences. OMNI customers who had lists of approved and blocked senders in the previous filtering system should find that those lists have already been automatically imported into thier Red Condor list areas.
There is a Login button on the right-hand side of OMNI's home page to take you to your Red Condor Personal Dashboard (control) area. You log in using your OMNI email address and its corresponding password (just as before).
With Red Condor, you get an email each day with a list of the messages that have been quarantined or blocked. This can be turned off or told to send weekly, hourly, etc. This feature practically eliminates the need to actually visit your Red Condor control area to view your junk mail.
Please note that when you log into your Personal Dashboard, there are just a few tabs: Quarantine, Settings, Policies and Status
When you are in any of these sections, you can click on the word "Help" (just to the right of the tabs) for information on all the options and settings available in that section.
Again, there is nothing that has to be done. Everything is already set up and working to filter your email from the vast majority of spam and other threats. Any adjustments by users are simply their own preferences.
There will be some junk mail that gets through, as no automated system is perfect - but as we continue to learn about the filtering rules and how Red Condor works, we will be able to assist you better with more answers and details. Please be patient as we implement this new system. It will take a little while to get everyone adjusted to the Red Condor differences, but soon it should prove itself to be a big help to all OMNI customers.
